What Do You See?


“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean NOT on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path”(Proverbs 3:5-6).

“ Before I formed you in the womb in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations”(Jeremiah 1:10 NKJV).

What do you see?

What showed you what you are seeing? 

Whose report will you believe, God or the devil’s?

In Jeremiah 1, God called Jeremiah up. He was no longer just a priest. He was a priest and a prophet, sent with a message to those whom God loves-Isreal. Jeremiah didn’t want to do it. 

A prophet?

Me?

You called me to be a prophet?

Get somebody else to do it.

 

I know, Jeremiah did not say it like that, but we do. God called this man up higher, closer to His mouth to hear His decrees, but Jeremiah had some reservations. He said that he was to young, and I know that he had some fear because if we are being real, Israel could be a trip sometimes. We can be a trip sometimes too, but God affirmed Jeremiah by saying, “I formed, I knew you, I sanctified you, I ordained you as a prophet to the nations.” Wow! A prophet to nations- a rebellious nation; A nation that God wanted to correct. There are people that God wants you to correct. God wants to correct you, your thinking, and what you see first though. 

“Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant”   (Jeremiah 1:9-10).

Why do you question who God says you are when He makes it clear that He called you? 

What do you see, and who gave you the perspective that you’re looking from? Was it God, or was it someone that is not aligned with God ?

God asked Jeremiah a very important question, “ What do you see,” and after Jeremiah responded, God said, “ You have seen well.” I want to ask you today, what do you see, and will God call it well?

You must be mindful of what you are seeing and who the sender of the vision is.

The enemy took Jesus up to a high pinocle and offered Him kingdoms in Matthew 4. Jesus combated this sight with the word of God. What He saw must have been glorious by the world’s standards, but what Jesus SAW, was a world that needed Him to remain locked in to purpose. 

Lord, thank you for caring about my sight. What I see can affect how I think, and you desire for me to have the best and healthiest thought patterns. Lord, fix my gaze on you and correct the posture of my thinking. Lord, I pray to have the perspective of Joshua and Caleb. You choose the to be amongst the first to see your promises and they had a good report of what they saw. Lord, take the scales off my eyes as you did Paul. I pray that what I SEE is pleasing to you. Lord, I wat to SEE you. I pray that my perspective is heavenward and not fleshward

Will You Marry Me?

I’m not obsessed, but I’ve been thinking about marriage a lot more lately. As a Christian, I’ve learned where I went wrong concerning my standards of dating before I knew Jesus. I have been looking at the profile pages of exes to see if, perhaps, I was missing something. I’m happy to report that I am not. I more so found myself thanking God for what He didn’t allow. The Process of Faithing It: Trusting Jesus with Your Faith

  “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34 NKJV). Can you imagine Jesus in a crowd? Everyone has a need, but His target in that moment is to go and build the faith of a little girl’s family at the request of her father because they think that she will die. The father is scared, but Jesus was on the way until He felt something. This feeling was different, but powerful. Jesus turns around looking, asking questions, but finds his answer in the form of a woman, standing and looking amazed at what just happened to her. After 13 years of anemia, tiredness, dizzy spells, soiled clothing, and impacted relationships, she is healed.  This woman with an issue of blood had spent all of her money, but decided to trust Jesus with her faith, which was all that she had left. Keep Your Lamp Filled

  “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Fear Can Not Exist Where Healing is Needed: The Authority of Jesus within Mental Health

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”  ( John 10:10 KJV). The people of Gadarenes gave the enemy access to their region, not just a man at a tomb. As a bystander within Mark 5, I’ve seen many parts of this scenario played out in real time. I know the broken heart that Jesus had at seeing this man, and I also know the love and compassion that He had for him as well. Can You Praise the Lord in Prison?

“Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening” (Acts 16:25 NLT). Paul and Silas were some bad boys! Can you imagine doing the right thing and being locked up because of it? These men had a freedom that the people they encountered needed to see because they were not bound although others could visibly see the chains that had been placed on them.   Realistically, you can grow tired of doing well. You can get sick of showing up when no one else appears to be willing to do so and you can feel stopped up from all of the complaints that you hold in.
