Does nobody ever feel like the underdog? You’re picked last
for everything, no one ever listens to you and you always feel like you get the
short end of the stick? Carrie felt like that. Yes, the horror movie chick
Carrie! Her life, at the beginning of the movie, is very relatable. She had all
this power, but she was over looked. She
would always say, look I have all this power, but people teased her and she was
still over looked. Stay with me now, I’m not with all the demonic stuff, but
what if Carrie was saved? What if her gifts were spiritual? Instead of Carrie
tearing everything up in the natural, what if she used the power of God (Look
at her from a Godly stand point) to pray for people. Can you imagine the
destruction that her prayers would have done to the devil's kingdom? Don’t be
discouraged if you are the underdog. David was an underdog to his family, but
he was a power house to God. Focus on who God says you are. If you spend most
of your time alone, allow God to come into that space with you. He does not
desire for you to have pity parties and say why me. You are being prepared.
David needed that time alone, because he was about to enter a season where he
was going to be on the run for his life and be leader over men while he was yet
running. He needed to know how to pray. The only person that the bible mentions
as David’s friend is Jonathan. Jonathan loved David with the love of God. He
was willing to do anything for him, even give him the clothes off of his back.
David went from being picked last, to having one best friend who saw who God
had called him to be. This is special because David’s friend did not come
against the word of God in his life…..Carrie has the opposite (still looking at
her from a spiritual stand point) all she had was people telling her who she
wasn’t....... Jesus surrounded him self (disciples) with people who did not come against who God called him to be, but he also understood the importance of having alone time with God.......
*Stop calling yourself the underdog, God is preparing you
for his glory in that quiet place. Look at David, He was a Sshepard boy turned King!!!!
Keep in mind that in that quiet place, God could also be protecting you…
