Stand

We don’t always understand our journey, but we still have to trust God. That area is not always the easiest for me, but my God is faithful. I was believing God for something and on the morning that I wrote this, he gave it to me. It’s funny because I actually forgot that I was believing him for this particular thing and he had to remind me…. Trust God. Stand firm in his word and I promise you that he will not let you down. A “no” from Lord can be for your protection. It can also mean “not right now”….. I pray for your strength in the Lord and I pray that you get so close to his heart that nothing else matters. In Jesus name…..Amen…. Enjoy!

Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: (Genesis 12:1)

In other words God said trust me, stop looking towards men for the answer and experience something new that only I can give you. God has gifts in place for us that no man can understand. The thing is that we need to follow him in order to get to and experience those gifts. Abraham had to forsake everything, even himself. He had to give up his will and his emotions so that he could trust God. That’s not always easy but that is why he is called the father of faith. Abraham worshiped God at the stopping points of life (Genesis 12:7-9). You have to know how to worship if you can’t do anything else and when he does bless you, you have to be able to say no, God did this for me (Genesis 14:21-24). God’s blessings are not like man’s blessings. God can bring you out in a way that no man can. There are a lot of things that may look nice to you that you may have to turn down so that no one can take credit for God glory in your life. Your boss can’t say that they did it; your family can’t say that they did it. You go through so that God can proclaim that he is the one that really blessed you. God will give you a place to call home. You seem lost, but God has a home for you. Abraham wondered for a long time, but when the time was right, God said look around, all this is yours. Trust him and remember what he has said to you. Trust him when the trials and tests come. Abraham knew who his God was. You have to know the same, when you have to give up that thing that is dearest to you, know who your God is. He is trust worthy. He would never handle your heart wrong. No eye has seen and no hear has heard the things that God has planned for those that love him (1 Corinthians 2:9).

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: (Genesis 12:2)

Is the blessing worth the risk to you? Are you willing to stretch out on faith? All Noah had was a word and some instructions. People thought that he was crazy, but even though people think that you are crazy, you have to know that God is behind you. Do what he is telling you to do. That wait may be long for the reward and people may laugh at you, but you listen to the word of the lord.

“Be still, and know that I am God”- Psalm 46:10a KJV Today as I was driving to work, anxious, knowing that I needed Jesus, I saw “In God I trust”, and “ Be still and know” on two separate cars, one after the other. The Process of Faithing It: Trusting Jesus with Your Faith

“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34 NKJV). Can you imagine Jesus in a crowd? Everyone has a need, but His target in that moment is to go and build the faith of a little girl’s family at the request of her father because they think that she will die. The father is scared, but Jesus was on the way until He felt something. This feeling was different, but powerful. Jesus turns around looking, asking questions, but finds his answer in the form of a woman, standing and looking amazed at what just happened to her. After 13 years of anemia, tiredness, dizzy spells, soiled clothing, and impacted relationships, she is healed. This woman with an issue of blood had spent all of her money, but decided to trust Jesus with her faith, which was all that she had left. Jesus was not too busy to stop and ask, “Who touched me?”. “But [like a boxer] I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached [the gospel] to others, I myself will not somehow be disqualified [as unfit for service]” (1 Corinthians 9:27 AMP). A default mode that I have developed over the course of time is the ability to understand everyone’s perspective in a situation. This is easy for me to do because I have been doing it professionally for years but it can be physically taxing on my mindset personally. As a person who always understands, it can be difficult to feel understood. As a person who is always giving, it can be difficult to receive. As a person who pours life into the dry places of others, it can be more than easy to wither in your own personal desert if you never ask for help. A hard truth is that even when you instinctively know what is bothering others, people will not always know what is bothering you. I encourage you to speak up, and if you feel unheard, voice that feeling and refuse to shut down. Asking for help looks different for everyone. You cannot tell everybody your dreams because your dreams might be bigger than their expectation of you. You will do things for God that man did not see coming. Learn to lean on the opinions of Jesus instead of allowing yourself to become esteemed by the opinions of man. Those folks do not know you or the potential that God has placed on the inside of you. Some of you even have family members that don’t know the real you. Think of yourself as a plan that God has up His sleeve. You are unexpected, but powerful through His grace. Nobody saw Joseph coming. His own brothers did not even know who he was to God. People don’t always treat you like the One who created you. That is why you have to learn to see yourself the way that God sees you and have no bitterness in your heart toward man. Forgive those people who talk about you and use you. “But I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail” (Luke 22:32a). For a time, I didn’t ask people for prayer . I became protective of ‘my stuff,’ and I backed away from needing people because I had me-the army of one. I felt alone, misunderstood; all the things that I wanted no one to know about because I got me . This mindset created offense and functional depression. I backed away so that no one would see it; no one knew me enough to recognize what it looked like. “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat” (Luke 22:32b). What does it look like when you are being sifted? The sifting starts early in life and can be a continuous pattern if the devil feels like his tactics are working against you.
