Everyone knows that if you don’t know who you are in God,
the devil will tell you who you are not. The truth is that some things happen
in your life to push you closer to God so that He can show you who you are. God
has placed so many things on the inside of us that we don’t understand and we won’t
understand them until we stop and listen to what he has to say. Will you stop
willingly or will he have to sit you down? Jerimiah was a man filled with the
word of God, but he did not want to open his mouth. He said that he was young,
but I believe that God wanted him to focus on Him and not his own abilities.
The world teaches us to look at ourselves. Either you are
strong or you are not, but what about God? God is our strength right? So many
of us are filled with the wonderful, powerful gifts and anointing of God, but
we are afraid to move. Jeremiah probably was always bothered by the things that
Israel was doing, but he may have kept it to himself. God gives us a purpose
and a desire. I believe that he places us in the midst of the problem that he
created for us to fix. Some of us try to fix it without his help and the rest
of us may be bothered by our surroundings, but do nothing. I believe that God
wants us to be passionate, but he also wants to get us in a place to listen to
Him so that we will know how to do what He has called us to do.
When God is on our side anything is possible. Just because you
attempted to speak about an issue and no listened, that does not mean that you
give up and leave things as they are. Moses was passionate about Israel. He
felt like they were treated unfairly and he lost his marbles when he saw the Egyptian
beating on one of his own people. The people of Israel were his family, he
loved them, but he was rejected. God had
a plan for Israel and the plan involved Moses, but he had to have the power of
God and wisdom to carry out the desires of his heart.
It’s so easy to get lost in this world. It’s so easy to
settle for things and solutions that are not of God, that is why it is vital
for us to know who we are in Him. Yes, you may be quiet, but if God put a word
in your mouth to speak, he will not send you without confidence to speak it. I
pray for the confidence of the Lord over your life. I pray that you speak when
he says to speak. I pray that you listen when he says to listen. I don’t care
how big or small you are, stop looking at your own abilities.
Lord in Jesus name I pray that we begin to accept and walk
in the person that you called us to be. I pray that we begin to consult you
about the desires that you have placed in our hearts and I pray that you give
us the confidence, boldness, and wisdom to carry them out. I pray that we place
our eyes on you instead of our own abilities. In Jesus name.

Jerimiah 1 and Exodus 3
Both of these chapters show instances where two men met God
and what their conversation was like. God told them who they were and what His
plan for their lives were. I pray that God covers you and shows himself to you
in these chapters. I pray that urges you to read more and that you have the
same life changing encounter with God as Moses and Jeremiah had, In Jesus name,
Amen.
