War for your destiny pt 2: Journey to Purpose

YOU HAVE GOT TO WAR FOR YOUR DESTINY!!!! The devil wants to get you to the point of depression. He wants you to give up. He wants you to forfeit your destiny, but you have got to fight. Today, I actually thought the words,” What am I doing this for?” I felt left out, I left behind, but I have to know that I am where God wants me to be. I remember being at a point of actually asking my mother to admit me to mental institution. I was that un-happy. I believed that I would find peace in a place like that. DO NOT EVER ALLOW YOUR SELF TO GET SO CLOSE TO THE EDGE OF LIFE THAT YOU WANT TO JUMP. This does not have to mean suicide. It can mean giving up on living for God, or giving up on caring about people, or even caring about yourself. The journey to purpose has bumps in the road. I believe that God does not expect us to be perfect, but He requires us to strive for perfection. He requires us to try. He requires us to seek him. If we were perfect we would not need Him.

I encourage you and I encourage myself to try. Try to stay committed to the same Christ that died for us all. He never said that we wouldn’t mess up and that we wouldn’t be hurt, but we have an awesome reward which is Him. We have the Holy Ghost to lead and guide us. We have grace!

God is so precious, don’t allow life to rob you of him. God will give you what you need when you need it. Anything that you don’t have, you don’t have it because it’s either not time yet, or it’s not in His will for your life. Throw your plans away and seek God on the plan that he has for your life. We get lost when we stop seeking God.

One of my favorite scriptures in the bible is “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6)”. It can be hard to trust God when you had your own path all worked out. I always say that God loves you and has your plan for your life. We have to believe that. We have to know that each destination is important on and for our journey to purpose and the promise.

Lord today, I pray to trust you. I pray to not look back and consider the bad things that you rid my life of as options that I should have considered. I pray to stop comparing my life and journey to other people’s, always wondering when my time will come. I pray to seek you more than ever. Not gifts or blessings, but to know who you are and to get closer to you. Lord forgive me for the things that I take for granted and help my unbelief, in Jesus name, Amen <3

“But I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail” (Luke 22:32a). For a time, I didn’t ask people for prayer . I became protective of ‘my stuff,’ and I backed away from needing people because I had me-the army of one. I felt alone, misunderstood; all the things that I wanted no one to know about because I got me . This mindset created offense and functional depression. I backed away so that no one would see it; no one knew me enough to recognize what it looked like. “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat” (Luke 22:32b). What does it look like when you are being sifted? The sifting starts early in life and can be a continuous pattern if the devil feels like his tactics are working against you. Keep Your Lamp Filled

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. I Forgot About Grace

The Process of Faithing It: Trusting Jesus with Your Faith

“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34 NKJV). Can you imagine Jesus in a crowd? Everyone has a need, but His target in that moment is to go and build the faith of a little girl’s family at the request of her father because they think that she will die. The father is scared, but Jesus was on the way until He felt something. This feeling was different, but powerful. Jesus turns around looking, asking questions, but finds his answer in the form of a woman, standing and looking amazed at what just happened to her. After 13 years of anemia, tiredness, dizzy spells, soiled clothing, and impacted relationships, she is healed. This woman with an issue of blood had spent all of her money, but decided to trust Jesus with her faith, which was all that she had left. Jesus was not too busy to stop and ask, “Who touched me?”. God paved the way for my present and my future with the prayers that He placed into my heart many years ago. There are moments and seasons that are not defined by man or their opinions. In those moments “their” opinions don’t matter, your background does not matter, and your last name does not matter. Those moments are the ones that define your destiny and triumph over your past. Those seasons are the ones that you are born to walk in and nothing can steal them away from you. That moment and that season is specified as being your kairos moment. Your life, your destiny, your ministry, and your purpose are all in your kairos moment.
