Forgivness

" Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, Lord how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, " I tell you, not seven times, but seventy- seven times" (Matthew 18: 21-22).

God’s word is a treasure box. Although you feel as if you have looked through it a million times, when you go back to search through it again, you will always find new things. My heart is on Moses right now because my desire is to have the relationship that he had with Christ. He faced a lot of opposition on his journey to the promise, but he understood the power of knowing who he was in Jesus and spending time in his presence. You have to know how to keep your peace in the midst of opposition. You have to understand that even when God tells you to hold your peace, that does not make you a punk. That simply means that he will fight your battles for you<3 God is such a source of peace. You have to know how to keep your peace when the devil is firing darts at you. Moses could have stayed mad at his people. He could have said to himself that they deserved to suffer, but you have to know how to forgive. Un- forgiveness gives people power over you that they do not deserve. Joseph had to forgive his own brothers. They stabbed him in the back. It was years before either of these men had to face the people who came against them. They were sent to them. They had the opportunity to either sit in hatred or they could have allowed the Lord to prosper them. I believe that we all know how the Lord used them in the midst of opposition, love, and forgiveness. Today I choose to love. I pray for your freedom from hate. No matter who hurt you, talked about you or lied on you, choose to love them and pray for them <3

Lord I pray for your heart. I pray to forgive. I pray to submit to you in the midst of the process. I pray to be honest with you and to not blame you for the way that people do and have treated me. Lord I pray for freedom. I pray for the freedom to walk along the path that you have set for me. I pray to love as you love and to be filled with your wisdom for your glory. In Jesus name.

Whoever you are. God loves you so much. I pray that his love over takes you like a flood. I pray that you forgive. I pray that you stop allowing un- forgiveness to halt your walk with Christ.

Baffled by Christ: Real talk/ The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth!

I’m always baffled at the stories that my mother tells me about what I was like as a child. From her point of view, I was a mini adult/ care giver. Becoming great takes faith. Peter did not become great in the twinkle of an eye. He had to go through things. This same man who stood up boldly to tell people about the Holy Spirit also once denied Jesus. Waiting for the Promise vs. Moving in Impatience

“Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? “But I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail” (Luke 22:32a). For a time, I didn’t ask people for prayer . I became protective of ‘my stuff,’ and I backed away from needing people because I had me-the army of one. I felt alone, misunderstood; all the things that I wanted no one to know about because I got me . This mindset created offense and functional depression. Heart Inspection: Clean Your House

I remember growing up in a place that required inspections. I used to hate them because I knew that my mom and I would be up all night making sure that the house was clean. I understood that everything had to be just right before the apartment manager came in to make sure that things were how they needed to be, so I got to cleaning. I had two methods of cleaning depending on my mood. I had a lazy way of making everything appear spotless and I had a thorough way of cleaning that I learned from my father and grandmother. “So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. God paved the way for my present and my future with the prayers that He placed into my heart many years ago. God taught David how to fight. He fought a lot of personal battles before he was strong enough to fight the battles that we know him for today. David had to know how to depend on God in private before he could publicly show us how to depend on Him. David had to fight other people’s opinion of him even up until the moment that he was anointed to be king. Nobody looked at little David and saw a king.
