I Pick YOU!!!

I love honest Christians because their truth lets me know that I am not alone. The truth can be a scary thing to admit because it exposes and it uncovers. The truth can shame and it can set free. Some people judge you for your truth and others are grateful that you had the courage to step forward instead of being bound by shame. Your own anointing and your own freedom may very well be in the truth that you so desperately want to hide. God can use those thoughts, those mistakes, and those bad childhood memories to set someone just like you free. You don’t have to be the bad things that people have said about you. It is not their faces or their words that will break chains, it is the anointing that sets free and heals. I often tell the kids that I work with that their story will help others someday. They are more than what people have called them….. Sometimes people need for you to look at them and see something different than what they have been labeled. They need for you to see goodness, courage, love, and success in them.

Rahab was what today’s society would call a ho, but she was also a woman used of God. Her job, what people said about her, and her past did not rule her out by God. Imagine what Rahab may have been through in her life to get her to the place that she was in? She may not have lived in the best part of town and she was well known because the king sent her orders to deliver the Israelites that came to her house over to him. She may have been a woman who cried out to know this God of the Israelites and he saw her right where she was. Even the king did not believe that this woman would have such courage as to hide the men of God. Maybe she needed someone to see goodness, courage, love, and success in her. I believe that Rahab was handpicked. She was a woman who was not an Israelite and yet she is in the linage of Christ. This woman believed the report of the Lord and what he has done and was going to do for his people. So many of us just long to be in the plans of God and we count it as a plus if He sees fit to us. God has a habit of using unexpected vessels for his glory. You just have to be willing. God used Ruth and he used the woman at the well. He desires to use you also. Stand up and stop hiding behind your past. It is no longer your excuse, but your testimony. It is such a blessing when God removes the covering of shame and reveals himself to you.

I pray that you do not allow your scars to define you. I pray that you will no longer be haunted and tormented by the opinions, words, and labels that people have given you. God is giving you a new label and that label involves you being his daughter. You are his precious little girl <3 In the game of life you feel like the last kid standing to be picked for a team and God is picking you.

God paved the way for my present and my future with the prayers that He placed into my heart many years ago. As I was up late watching videos of people talking about the personal lives of celebrities, I thought about the fact that it is crazy to worship those people. Waiting for the Promise vs. Moving in Impatience

“Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? Where is your Heart

God taught David how to fight. He fought a lot of personal battles before he was strong enough to fight the battles that we know him for today. David had to know how to depend on God in private before he could publicly show us how to depend on Him. David had to fight other people’s opinion of him even up until the moment that he was anointed to be king. Nobody looked at little David and saw a king. I remember growing up in a place that required inspections. I used to hate them because I knew that my mom and I would be up all night making sure that the house was clean. I understood that everything had to be just right before the apartment manager came in to make sure that things were how they needed to be, so I got to cleaning. I had two methods of cleaning depending on my mood. I had a lazy way of making everything appear spotless and I had a thorough way of cleaning that I learned from my father and grandmother. It is easy to condemn Moses. How could he, out of all people be insecure? I mean, He talked to God in a burning bush that was not consumed by fire! Take Off the Old Rags and Put on the New Garment

Have you ever had a childhood item that you loved? That thing may be worn, dirty, and falling apart, but you hold on to it because of sentimental value such as the memories attached to it . That item could be anything. It could be cloths, a toy, or even a picture. In many of our lives the old sentimental thing that we hold on to is our sin. We attach unhealthy sentimental values it. Many of these sins originated in our childhood so we hold on to it and in most cases, hope that no one ever sees it. Not every sin is private, some people are wide open with their sins because it is socially acceptable to take part in such things, or they have stooped caring what other people think it. Like those childhood items, we may tuck our sins away and bring them out in secret. In some cases, we even form unions with people who are holding on to the same item (sin) that we are holding on to.
