You are still my child!

You are still daddy’s little girl or guy child of God. I’m here to tell you that God loves you and that you are not a mistake. Do not define your heavenly father by man’s standards; when you do, you limit Him. Forget about what that man who you call dad or that woman that you call mom did to you. God has called you to be a sign to the nations as an example of the love that He has. Don’t be surprised, yes I said that He has called you! In all of your mess and in all your bitterness, you are still called. God will give you the words to speak and the strength that you will need for your journey. Do not worry about what “they” say about you, listen to what God says. God says that you are the head and not the tail. God says that you will be above and not beneath. God says that He has plans to prosper and not to harm you, to bring you to an expected end. God says that with Him all things are possible. God says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. God says that you are his workmanship; nothing will separate you from his love. God has begun a great work in you and he will bring in to completion. Child of God your trip through the wilderness is preparing you to lead others to freedom. Your pain is not in vain! He is preparing you!

Child of God you are good enough; you are handsome enough, you are beautiful enough and you are smart enough to do and become everything that God is calling you to do.

Listen to your heavenly father today child of God! He is calling you and he loves you!

"For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict" ( Luke 21:15).

"Nothing will separate you from Gods love" (Romans 8:38).

"God has begun a great work in you and he will bring in to completion" (Philliapns1:6).

CHALLENGE: I challenge you to walk around with the word of God today. Write down bible verses that he gives you and put them in your pocket or your purse. Look at them through the day.

Visionary: See It Before You See It

One of things that I ask God for in my prayer time is the ability to be able to hear Him. I want to hear God clearly when He speaks to me. I don’t want to drown out His voice which is easy for me to do because I have a tendency to be easily distracted. When God has shown us something, we cannot allow ourselves to get off task. Why Are You Here?

During an encounter that I had with a young person recently, I told them that things were difficult for them because there were some things that they would need to do that had never been done before. The analogy that I used to help this person understand what I was saying to them was that of a wilderness full of trees. I told this young person that they would be the first one to cut down the trees in that wilderness to create a smooth path for those coming behind them. The same is true for many of us. There are large trees that we must cut down so that those coming behind us won’t have to fight as hard as we are fighting, and they will not stumble because we are destroying everything at the root that is attempting to block us. The task of doing this may seem difficult but the testimony is worth it. You have to be able to identify the things that have hindered individuals in your lineage, know what the signs of those things are in your own life, and then eliminate it. ...

So many women define themselves by their relationship status. I used to be one of those women. It didn’t matter if that man cheated on me, lied to me, or insulted me; I was not going to leave him. Everyone knows that if you don’t know who you are in God, the devil will tell you who you are not. The truth is that some things happen in your life to push you closer to God so that He can show you who you are. I love honest Christians because their truth lets me know that I am not alone. The truth can be a scary thing to admit because it exposes and it uncovers. The truth can shame and it can set free. Some people judge you for your truth and others are grateful that you had the courage to step forward instead of being bound by shame. Your own anointing and your own freedom may very well be in the truth that you so desperately want to hide. God can use those thoughts, those mistakes, and those bad childhood memories to set someone just like you free. You don’t have to be the bad things that people have said about you. It is not their faces or their words that will break chains, it is the anointing that sets free and heals. I often tell the kids that I work with that their story will help others someday. Matters of the Heart

Sometimes we need for God to check us. We need for him to put us in our place and to remind us of what we have been asking him about. My desire, starting now, is to dedicate my attitude and my job to him. I do not want for my job to just be a place where I can make an income, I want for it to be a ministry. Now, there is one major thing that stands in the way of my desire and that is my attitude. I have to change my way of thinking to see the way that God sees. It is very easy to become like your co-workers if you do not watch yourself. During the orientation at the place of my employment, the instructor advised my class to leave our hearts in the car. During the first couple of days that was hard for me to do, but after being there a while, I found myself leaving my feelings at the door on many occasions. Shame on me!
