Forgive Yourself!!!!

I know that there are some things that should stay private, but my desire is for you to see Christ in my life. I am a work in progress and I want for you to be in the car with me as I travel along life’s highways. My desire is for my life to be used for Gods glory. There are a lot of things about myself that I pray God will never ask me to revel, but if my past will heal hearts, then so be it. I found myself ashamed about my last blog. It was very personal and I wanted to take it down. I spend a lot of time afraid of judgment, but I pray that people saw how God has moved in my life and on my behalf even in times when I did not deserve it. I have so many stories about things that could have happened to me, but God stopped it. I’m here to share Jesus and I pray that you guys get the courage that you need in order to do the same <3

I believe that this challenge will bring healing to your heart and that it will, hopefully, help you forgive your self and others. You have to know how to forgive yourself. Searching deep within yourself can hurt, but God desires for you to be free. Do not allow your past or anyone from it to condemn you. Remember that you are a new creature in Christ Jesus! God says that He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west (Psalm 103: 12). Rest in what God has already accomplished in your life thus far and know that he us not finished with you yet.

Power Verse: "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool (Isaiah 1:18 ESV).

“But [like a boxer] I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached [the gospel] to others, I myself will not somehow be disqualified [as unfit for service]” (1 Corinthians 9:27 AMP). If you need to be told that you did a good job, “You did a good job. You gave, and you submitted to man. You showed up and did what they asked. The Process of Faithing It: Trusting Jesus with Your Faith

“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34 NKJV). Can you imagine Jesus in a crowd? Everyone has a need, but His target in that moment is to go and build the faith of a little girl’s family at the request of her father because they think that she will die. The father is scared, but Jesus was on the way until He felt something. This feeling was different, but powerful. Jesus turns around looking, asking questions, but finds his answer in the form of a woman, standing and looking amazed at what just happened to her. After 13 years of anemia, tiredness, dizzy spells, soiled clothing, and impacted relationships, she is healed. This woman with an issue of blood had spent all of her money, but decided to trust Jesus with her faith, which was all that she had left. Jesus was not too busy to stop and ask, “Who touched me?”. “Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet.” (Luke 15:22 ESV) I have carried myself around as someone who had no divine ownership. I’ve acted like a peasant and not a family member of God, accepting scraps because I thought that was my worth, when all along God has placed a robe of grace and love over my shoulders that I was blind to until now. The love of God is like the love that the prodigal son’s father had for him. This father allowed his son to make choices that he knew were harmful because his son had the free will to do so. It was not that the son didn’t know better, he just lacked the maturity to know that that he belonged to a father that loved him. Give your self-permission to receive and walk in the grace that God gives you. King David had to allow himself to receive grace. He was not perfect, but he knew how to remorsefully repent and he knew how to position himself at the feet of the King. David messed up while walking in his purpose. He tried to hide his sin, but God saw it and confronted him on it. We have to know how to receive God when He confronts us with the good, the bad, and the ugly. We can choose to continue to sin or we can choose to submit to our Father and repent. God does not expect for us to be perfect, but He does expect for us to be submitted. Saul lost his position with God before he lost his position with man. He cared about what people thought more than he cared about what God thought. Keep Your Lamp Filled

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept” (Matthew 25:1–5). Everyone had the same mindset to go to the same place for the same reason. Everyone was on their way, but partial action was taken by five of the virgins. The bridegroom had the capacity to care for all ten. Everyone had a lamp, but everyone did not have oil to see Who they were waiting for. The oil was available, but five virgins did not take the initiative to get more oil. The Importance of Knowing How to Pray

No matter what mental state you are in, where you are in life, or who you have around you, prayer will always be the heartbeat of your survival. You need to know how to pray during both the mountain top experiences and the valley experiences. If no one ever taught me anything, I learned how to express myself to God through prayer. Prayer isn’t always about asking God for things, but you can actually sit with Him and tell Him how you feel. There have been moments in my life where I felt like the Lord was the only one that I could talk to about what was going on in my life. You have to get into a place where you begin to communicate with God as you would with anyone else. There are times when I speak out loud to God because I know that He is around me. God’s presence is peace, it changes the atmosphere, and it will shift your entire mood. Once you’ve talked to the Father, you know that everything will be ok just because He is around you. Matters of the Heart

Sometimes we need for God to check us. We need for him to put us in our place and to remind us of what we have been asking him about. My desire, starting now, is to dedicate my attitude and my job to him. I do not want for my job to just be a place where I can make an income, I want for it to be a ministry. Now, there is one major thing that stands in the way of my desire and that is my attitude. I have to change my way of thinking to see the way that God sees. It is very easy to become like your co-workers if you do not watch yourself. During the orientation at the place of my employment, the instructor advised my class to leave our hearts in the car. During the first couple of days that was hard for me to do, but after being there a while, I found myself leaving my feelings at the door on many occasions. Shame on me!
