The Process of Faithing It: Trusting Jesus with Your Faith

“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34 NKJV).

Can you imagine Jesus in a crowd? Everyone has a need, but His target in that moment is to go and build the faith of a little girl’s family at the request of her father because they think that she will die. The father is scared, but Jesus was on the way until He felt something. This feeling was different, but powerful. Jesus turns around looking, asking questions, but finds his answer in the form of a woman, standing and looking amazed at what just happened to her. After 13 years of anemia, tiredness, dizzy spells, soiled clothing, and impacted relationships, she is healed.

This woman with an issue of blood had spent all of her money, but decided to trust Jesus with her faith, which was all that she had left. Jesus was not too busy to stop and ask, “Who touched me?”. The disciples reminded Jesus of all the people that were around them, but this touch was different. Someone had touched Jesus in such a sincere way that it caused virtue to leave His body. Jesus could have kept going, but this matter, this person, this faith, needed His undivided attention.

This touch did not seek to draw attention, but got the attention of the Savior of the world. Faith tapped Jesus on the shoulder when this woman simply pressed her way to touch the hem of His garment as He was moving through a busy crowd.

I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible. (Matthew 17:20 NLT).

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith, it’s impossible to please God. Have you ever gotten out of your bed determined to press your way, expecting a shift to occur, then some how end up standing in amazement at what Jesus has done for you even though your faith was the only fuel that you had to get to His garment?

This blog was originally entitled, ‘Chasing Peace,’ but Jesus says “My peace I leave with you.” God wants for you to know that He has made room for you, and that your faith gets His attention. You’ve endured many things that left you spent, broken, and dismayed, but God is inviting you into His presence, and wants you to know that He has time for you.

Jesus had time for the woman with the issue of blood. He stopped for her because both a withdraw and a deposit happened. Jesus gave this woman His undivided attention despite the crowd, and He spoke to her, called her daughter, and said, “Your faith has made you whole. God in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

Jesus has stopped for you today. What do you need? Will you be made whole?

Lord, I thank you for your undivided attention. You have stopped for me, and you call me daughter. You care about my needs and have given me a measure of faith that shifts atmospheres in my favor for your glory. Thank you for meeting me in my press and for not allowing me to drown under pressure. I will not be distracted. I will not be dismayed. I will get up, in faith, knowing that despite any crowd, you see me, and make a deposit into my life for your glory. I thank you for the living testimony, and for the living faith, of the woman with the issue of blood because it still speaks. I decree and declare that my life will never be the same as her life was never the same after her encounter with Jesus. In Jesus name, I believe. Amen.

Author’s Note: “He said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague” (Mark 5:34 KJV).

Pick a word from your favorite version of this verse, and talk to God about how it blesses you.

My word from this version of the testimony of the woman with the issue of blood is ‘whole’. God is faithful to make us whole if we have faith. Jesus told this woman what her faith did for her.

If you have stopped believing God, trust Him again.

This woman shows me what faith can do. Jesus acknowledged her faith, and her believing that her desire would be so, according to His will, shifted what plagued her for 13 years.

Thank you for healing, Lord! Thank you for the process of what is causing things to shift in my life. No more plagues or afflictions, in Jesus name. I have faith, Lord. You call me daughter. I have peace. In Jesus name, amen.

Where is your Heart

God taught David how to fight. He fought a lot of personal battles before he was strong enough to fight the battles that we know him for today. David had to know how to depend on God in private before he could publicly show us how to depend on Him. David had to fight other people’s opinion of him even up until the moment that he was anointed to be king. Nobody looked at little David and saw a king. When they looked at him, they saw the youngest of 8 sons. They saw a shepard and they might have even seen a punk. I wonder if David’s brothers even knew that he was about that life. Did they know that he had fought and won a battle against a lion? Did they know that he took on a bear? Did they know that he was a prophetic musician and poet who was getting closer to God while they were busy looking the part of a position that they would never fill? The mistake that some people make is that they are more concerned with looking the part then they are with having the heart to fulfill t...

Take Off the Old Rags and Put on the New Garment

Have you ever had a childhood item that you loved? That thing may be worn, dirty, and falling apart, but you hold on to it because of sentimental value such as the memories attached to it . That item could be anything. It could be cloths, a toy, or even a picture. In many of our lives the old sentimental thing that we hold on to is our sin. We attach unhealthy sentimental values it. Many of these sins originated in our childhood so we hold on to it and in most cases, hope that no one ever sees it. Not every sin is private, some people are wide open with their sins because it is socially acceptable to take part in such things, or they have stooped caring what other people think it. Like those childhood items, we may tuck our sins away and bring them out in secret. In some cases, we even form unions with people who are holding on to the same item (sin) that we are holding on to. The items (sins/ demons) have been with us so long, we don’t know how to function without it. Today, Go...

Walk on Water Faith

Becoming great takes faith. Peter did not become great in the twinkle of an eye. He had to go through things. This same man who stood up boldly to tell people about the Holy Spirit also once denied Jesus. We have to be so prayed up in Christ because we don’t always know what our flesh or our circumstances will cause us to do. The struggle to greatness gets real! David had to fight many battles not only in the world, but in the kingdom of God because he was called to greatness. David wrote many psalms documenting his trails and successes. He was a man after God’s own heart, but yet he was not perfect. We go through things that help sustain us in this life and we can’t remain discouraged by the hurts that the world throws at us. I admire the bravery of the apostles because I don’t know how well I would have done emotionally if whole systems were coming against me. These men were beat, lied on, and put in prison because of the Christ that they were representing. People will ...

Kairos:God’s Opportune Time Table

There are moments and seasons that are not defined by man or their opinions. In those moments “their” opinions don’t matter, your background does not matter, and your last name does not matter. Those moments are the ones that define your destiny and triumph over your past. Those seasons are the ones that you are born to walk in and nothing can steal them away from you. That moment and that season is specified as being your kairos moment. Your life, your destiny, your ministry, and your purpose are all in your kairos moment. Everything that you are and ever will be, boils down to that moment. Your kairos moment cannot be defined, manipulated, or determined by man because it is a moment that is determined by God alone.   King David was the underdog. He was the youngest and most different when compared to his brothers. Even the prophet Samuel could not identify God’s chosen vessel in the flesh because God had to reveal to him who the next king would be. Being alone and being the u...

What Do You See?

“ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean NOT on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path” (Proverbs 3:5-6). “ Before  I formed you  in the womb in the womb  I knew you ; Before you were born  I sanctified  you;  I ordained   you   a prophet to the nations ”(Jeremiah 1:10 NKJV). What do you see? What showed you what you are seeing?  Whose report will you believe, God or the devil’s? In Jeremiah 1, God called Jeremiah up. He was no longer just a priest. He was a priest and a prophet, sent with a message to those whom God loves-Isreal. Jeremiah didn’t want to do it.  A prophet? Me? You called me to be a prophet? Get somebody else to do it.   I know, Jeremiah did not say it like that, but we do. God called this man up higher, closer to His mouth to hear His decrees, but Jeremiah had some reservations. He said that he was to young, and I know that he had some fear because if we are bei...

I have Chosen You: Distractions and Distress are not Your Portion

“You did not choose me, but I choose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, He may give it to you.”                                                        (John 15:16 ESV).    At the church that I attend, the stage/ alter has   steps that one can  ascend  on to reach the top. As I looked at the steps, I envisioned what God is doing in this season. I saw a representative on the floor before the steps began ,  and I saw them moving up one step at a time. We are in a season of elevation and with elevation comes great responsibility.  As I consider the prayers that I have prayed and the questions that I have asked  God , I see the answers all around me, but inwardly I have rejected the responsibility that comes ...

Forgive Yourself!!!!

I know that there are some things that should stay private, but my desire is for you to see Christ in my life. I am a work in progress and  I want for you to be in the car with me as I travel along life’s highways. My desire is for my life to be used for Gods glory. There are a lot of things about myself that I pray God will never ask me to revel, but if my past will heal hearts, then so be it. I found myself ashamed about my last blog. It was very personal and I wanted to take it down. I spend a lot of time afraid of judgment, but I pray that people saw how God has moved in my life and on my behalf even in times when I did not deserve it. I have so many stories about things that could have happened to me, but God stopped it. I’m here to share Jesus and I pray that you guys get the courage that you need in order to do the same <3 My challenge for this week: I pray that you guys will join me in this! Write a letter to my past Write a letter to my future Be hon...

Whom the Son Sets Free Is Free Indeed

Give your self-permission to receive and walk in the grace that God gives you. King David had to allow himself to receive grace. He was not perfect, but he knew how to remorsefully repent and he knew how to position himself at the feet of the King. David messed up while walking in his purpose. He tried to hide his sin, but God saw it and confronted him on it. We have to know how to receive God when He confronts us with the good, the bad, and the ugly. We can choose to continue to sin or we can choose to submit to our Father and repent. God does not expect for us to be perfect, but He does expect for us to be submitted.   Saul lost his position with God before he lost his position with man. He cared about what people thought more than he cared about what God thought. Both King David and King Saul serve as an example of how we can choose to listen to God or ignore Him when He confronts us about our sin. There are so many people who are dying because they are hiding something. Th...

Destroying Idols

“For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God” (Exodus 34:15 KJV). As I was up late watching videos of people talking about the personal lives of celebrities, I thought about the fact that it is crazy to worship those people. I thought about the fact that we actually worship flesh and I thought about the fact that we will all die someday. There have been extremely talented individuals that have passed away and their talent went with them. These individuals were considered to be iconic and they were worshiped because of it. Theses celebrities had gifts that were not known to be used for the One that gave it to them. These people had beautiful things and they had gatherings where people called out their names and raised their hands in worship to them, but what about God? Isn’t God the giver of the gifts and isn’t God the one who allows people to live lavishly? What about the worship that belongs to Him? Are we as humans so selfish, t...

Becoming Purified

Diamonds are treasured around the world, so treasured that people produce fakes just to meet the demand of the masses that desire them. You are just as treasured. Don’t allow the world around you to make you into a fake. Becoming purified comes along with tests and trails. Purified water is filtered to get all of the contaminates out. I mean really, who wants dirty water? Child of God you are a light that God has sent to shine in dim places. You are a well holding his life changing, life giving water and you are as valuable to him as a diamond that has been created under pressure. Don’t you see that God is filtering you? There are no lies in God so he has to remove all the fakeness, the phoniness and the containments out of you. The testing of your faith produces patience. You may not be where you want to be but God is using you where you are. He is growing you up to be who he has called you to be. Desire to be a life producing tree instead of a dead stump. Pray for divine gu...
