  You are the dirt, God is the contractor. You used to be a house but God had to tear down the property and evict the previous owners. You won’t stay dirt forever though. God desires to do something new with you and in order for him to do that, he had to tear you down. You are a mansion not a shack! God sees so much potential in what the world saw so little value in, so the old friends (furniture) relationships (walls) and circumstances had to go. You are at ground zero and there is a lot of drilling taking place in your life. God is drilling up that old foundation, dirt and concrete so that you can now be fertile ground, good soil fit for producing fruit. God is saying to you, although you may sow in weeping, you will reap with shouts of joy (psalm 126:5). God is creating a new foundation for you. The destruction of your plans allows God to give you a greater anointing and build up your character to how He wants it to be. Israel has endured destruction many times on their road to greatness. God had to tear them down in order to get rid of all the sin and disobedience that they were subjecting themselves to. What you are going through is meant for your good child of God. God is trying to burn up everything in your life that is unlike him. Submit to the process. God is humbling you. As a chosen vessel of the most high God, you cannot act like the world around you. Many times I have been to churches and I have experienced no love. Now, you may wonder what I mean by this. I’m not saying that God should not be the focus and I’m definitely not saying that we should go to church for people or to play the sympathy card. I’m merely asking where is the love of Christ in church? I did not experience the love of God through “church people” until I got to my current church (I got so tired of people hugging me, lol). A lot of times we see people sitting right next to us and we don’t even bother to ask them how their day is going. God can do all things, but He uses us also. You smiling or asking someone how they are doing can brighten their whole year up. The world can be so cold and unforgiving. No one should have to come to the Lord's house and experience the same treatment. God is calling leaders after his own heart. It is timeout for playing church and time in for living a life holy and devoted to Him. Stop thinking that you are protecting the church by hiding your dirt under the carpet. God’s bride is stained because of filthy living. You are abusing God’s bride and publicly embarrassing her. King David had such an awareness of God. Many times we pray because we are supposed to. We ask God to get us out of trouble and we even thank Him from time to time, but where is our fear? David was aware of his sin. He was a man after God’s own heart, but he sinned. Where is your heart? David knew how to humble himself and repent. I know that there are some things that should stay private, but my desire is for you to see Christ in my life. I am a work in progress and  I want for you to be in the car with me as I travel along life’s highways. My desire is for my life to be used for Gods glory. There are a lot of things about myself that I pray God will never ask me to revel, but if my past will heal hearts, then so be it. I found myself ashamed about my last blog. I  remember sitting on the bus in middle school and this guy who was older than me told someone that when I started having sex I wouldn’t be able to stop. I was always very quiet, but I thought to myself, how could someone who didn’t know me say such a thing? He was in a sense, speaking over me. I was kinda rebellious as a teen.       You give me your tithes and offering but your heart is far from me. You go to church to show your face but your heart is far from me. You do all these things but where is your heart? After the resurrection of Jesus Christ, he made three appearances to His disciples. One of them was at the Sea of Galilee. Simon Peter wanted to go fishing and the other disciples said that they would join him. That night they caught nothing, but upon day break they saw a man standing on the sea shore, but had no idea that it was the Lord. Jesus spoke to them concerning how they should catch the fish and that day, they caught such a great number that the net could not be lifted. The dude you see in the picture with me is my little brother and I want to share him with you. He is the joy of my life and a welcomed blessing. It has taken me a while to appreciate the connection that I have with him, but now I got it! We are about 7 years apart and he has down syndrome. I used to say he was down syndrome, but that name does not define him. He is so much more than a so called disability. I am now in a place of helping to care for individuals who have intellectual disabilities. It is not as hard as some may think. They have passions and dreams just like you and I. I challenge some of you to change the way you think about individuals with disabilities. They are just as special, just as intelligent and maybe even more anointed than you! There are times that I have felt like the world was against me, but I had my brother. He has seen tears that no one else has and he has given hugs that no one else could. Don’t be ashamed of the rout that God is taking you on the way to your destiny. Many of us are in a place that we would prefer to not be in, but remember to have patience in training. What is God trying to teach you? What is God trying to instill in you? What is God trying to up root out of you? Stop looking at the past. You are a new creature in Christ. The desert does not always have to be a dry place; it can be a place of growth. Keep in mind that God does show up in the desert. You may feel alone, but you are alive and breathing right! If you are lacking anything, think about if God wants you to depend solely on him for your needs. Israel had to learn to depend solely on God. He sent them out of Egypt wealthy but there were no stores or market places in the wilderness (God provided them with manna). The wilderness is going to mold and shape you.
