Your Response to the Desert will Determine How long You Stay There part 2: Shut up and Let God move

Being quiet does not mean that one is weak, it can merely mean that that individual is wise. There are some things and some people that deserve no reply. We have to make the daily choice to either argue our way through life's situations or pray our way through it. Know the difference between praying your way out and praying your way through something. Some seasons and environments are meant to grow you. It may feel as if your dying, but you may merely be sweating out the impurities. Hot environments are uncomfortable, but the cactus has everything that it needs to survive in the desert. You have to depend on the water source that you have on the inside of you that no one else may be able to see.

Don't look at the time clock waiting for God to move you because you hate where you are placed on assignment for Him. Instead, look at that same time clock and ask Him when it's time to move on His behalf where He has placed you. Be the change agent that God is growing you to be instead of the grumpy Christian. You may actually be the only bible that those people that you are placed with read on a daily basis. Your purpose is not to be liked but to be used.

Stop taking everything personal. Grumbling gets you nothing but another lap. Don't allow the people where you are placed cause you to sin. Moses got so irritated with the people of Israel that he actually sinned because of it (Numbers 20: 2-13) . Don't get so annoyed with the task that God has given you that you do not follow His directions. You may do what he wants you to do, but don't neglect the specific directions that He has given you on how to do it. Don't take being used lightly and be ok with separating yourself. You have to separate yourself in order to hear the directions that the Lord is assigning you. Don't mistreat that co-worker because they may be your assignment. Do not mis-represent the Lord in anyplace that He has sent you to go. Know that the Lord sees everything. Yes, He sees what they do, but He sees what you do to.

Lord I pray that you show me how to respond in every situation. I pray that whatever I say, whatever I do and even my facial expressions are a representation of you. Lord I pray to stay focused on you. I pray that you teach me how to control my emotions and to not take everything so personal. In Jesus name , Amen.

The Process of Faithing It: Trusting Jesus with Your Faith

“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34 NKJV). Can you imagine Jesus in a crowd? Everyone has a need, but His target in that moment is to go and build the faith of a little girl’s family at the request of her father because they think that she will die. The father is scared, but Jesus was on the way until He felt something. This feeling was different, but powerful. Jesus turns around looking, asking questions, but finds his answer in the form of a woman, standing and looking amazed at what just happened to her. After 13 years of anemia, tiredness, dizzy spells, soiled clothing, and impacted relationships, she is healed. As I was reading a devotional today I saw the word crushed. I love this word! I also love the words broken and wrecked. There are moments and seasons that are not defined by man or their opinions. In those moments “their” opinions don’t matter, your background does not matter, and your last name does not matter.
