Refreshment for the Journey

You cannot tell everybody your dreams because your dreams might be bigger than their expectation of you. You will do things for God that  man did not see coming. Learn to lean on the opinions of Jesus instead of allowing yourself to become esteemed by the opinions of man. Those folks do not know you or the potential that God has placed on the inside of you. Some of you even have family members that don’t know the real you. Think of yourself as a plan that God has up His sleeve. You are unexpected, but powerful through His grace.

Nobody saw Joseph coming. His own brothers did not even know who he was to God. People don’t always treat you like the One who created you. That is why you have to learn to see yourself the way that God sees you and have no bitterness in your heart toward man. Forgive those people who talk about you and use you. Joseph had to forgive his brothers because God was going to use him to protect them. People have no idea that you may be the one that God is using to pray them through whatever storm they may be facing.
You have to be clean before God no matter what life throws at you. Take it to Him and He will fight your battles. God fought battles for Elijah the prophet. Although he was tired from the journey, Elijah was faithful to God and God used him mightily despite the fact that a queen was trying to take him out. Those in high places will not be allowed to kill the very one that God has anointed to go on exploits for Him. Jezebel got to a lot of people, but she could not touch Elijah! Have faith in knowing that no matter how hard the devil tries to defeat you, he won’t win.
I pray that you are refreshed for the journey. I pray that you are longsuffering and faithful to the tasks that God has assigned you to. I pray that you know that He has your back and that no evil will befall you. I pray that he is both the pillar of  cloud and pillar of fire to you as He was to Israel. I pray that you rest in the mighty hand of the Lord and that you are assured that He is faithful to fight for those that He has anointed, appointed, approved of and sent. In Jesus name Amen.

See Yourself the Way that God Sees You

In 2010 I was lost. I did not know who I was or where I was going. I was sinking. I was not living a life of purpose, but I was merely existing. That all changed when God injected Himself into the mix. I cannot say that I was looking for Him, but I can say that He definitely took the opportunity to change my heart through love. God loved me during a time when I placed a man’s attention over seeking and falling in love with the attention that He was showing me. God had already placed so much in me that He saw fit to not allow what He had already started to be wasted. I was in a backslidden state, but yet God loved me enough to still use others to show me what He thought of me. When God begins a work in you, He is faithful to bring it to completion. I desired God, but I was not running after Him. God meant me in a dark and lonely place. He continued to shower me with His love and He allowed the roots that He had already planted in my life to go from a dormmate state to a growin...

The Secret Place

“ Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them” ( Mark 9:2  NKJV). Jesus is taking you somewhere. Will you go, and can He trust you  with the assignment that He is sending you forth with?   Jesus could’ve chosen anyone to see Him in the  secret  place, but He choose Peter, James, John, and you. We saw Jesus being both human and God in a uniquely divine manner. We saw the type of encounter that caused Moses’ face to shine in  Exodus 34:29 , and we saw that God is calling us all up higher in Him. This is not about just getting a prayer through, this about getting into a deeper place with Father God and seeing Him in a way that many of you are praying to see Him in if you are reading this.  God wants for us to see Him. His divine glory is all around us, but the secret place is where the mysteries of the Kingdom of God are revealed.   “   N...

The Healing Prophet

I did not desire to write this, but I heard this title and agreed to be obedient. I once read a statement by Tasha Cobbs Leonard. She shared that she would go and sing, return home, and then feel depressed. I understand that feeling more than I would like to admit.   Depression is a weapon the enemy uses against those whom God has anointed in many areas. Depression has stagnation attached to it, and its assignment is to either kill you, isolate you, or both.   As a therapist, I help many people navigate through depression. I advise increased therapy sessions and medication when needed. I tell them all the ways to battle what has been battling them while being in the very same fight myself.   Depression is nobody’s friend. It is an enemy that wounds.   The Healing Prophet is an intentional title. It speaks to the heart of the one who carries and speaks the oracles of God, and  today, God has a word for you, and for me. “Get up and believe Me.”   I...

When Your Season Lacks Applause

Everyone wants to fulfill your purpose until they realize what it costs you to say yes to God. People judge struggles and trials that they have not had to survive in. They want what you have, but lack the understanding of the number of tears that you have shed in order to continue to bend when the applause of man says that you should stand- up and be honored when you do something great. Your greatness is attributed to God, but people who merely seek applause from others have no idea what that really means. “I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images” (Isaiah 42:8). Walking in your purpose is beautiful. Walking in your purpose with a holy anointing will cost you something. God is not looking for people who want to be seen. He is looking for people who want to submit. Seeking to be seen out of season will set you up for attacks that you may not be ready for. It will cause you to be identified by enemies when your jo...

Worship until I pass out!

Stop questing God about what is taking him so long to bless you and stop comparing you’re “come up” to how the people of the world are operating.   God reigns on the just as well as the unjust (Matthew 5:45). Your” hard time” is meant to glorify your father in heaven! Let them look down on you, let them talk about you because guess what, God has some C4 (dunamis power, dynamite) ready that he is about to release on your behalf. You will walk in your destiny, but it will be in God’s timing. God is going to use you in the position that he will himself create for you, but first he has to train you to perform well on the Job. You have to be led by the ultimate Shepard so that he can teach you to have the gentleness, kindness, love and patience that you will need to have for the place that he is sending you. The money and the things will come, but right now you need to know how to sit at your father’s feet and worship. You are not mature enough for all the blessings that God has lined...

True Story!

If you know me, you know that I work nights. On three occasions, God has allowed me to work three different nights, with three different women, who had three different testimonies. I am about to share one of the testimonies that I was blessed to hear.... True story: Do not take the position that you hold in life lightly. For the most part, I am accustomed to getting my way. I am not used to waiting for the things that I want or feel that I deserve. I am now in a waiting process and I understand what it is like to take my position in life for granted. I often even get resentful, but I meant a woman who changed my prospective on things. She told me ... about a janitor that worked at a hospital. The woman that I was talking to had a son that was the hospital for two weeks and while she was in there she had may conversations with a janitor. One day , the woman was talking to someone who was about to be released from the hospital. The other person told the woman about a janitor who ha...

When Pain is Your SpringBoard

“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, He   rescues those whose spirits are crushed”(Psalm 34:18 NLT). I recently called my father to tell him that I loved him, and he didn’t say it back. I felt led to call him and choose to not take his response personally, although I wanted to. I deserved to; but God is doing a work in me concerning this area. I try to make things pretty, but hurt is never pretty and forgiveness is rarely easy. I’m challenged to forgive and to not be offended, even when I deserve to be. People do things that I don’t like, but because I want all that God has, I have to be intentional about dealing with both my heart and my hurt. It may seem crazy, but the best thing that anyone can do for you is to count you out and hurt you. Hurt can either damage you or it can create a passion in you that God can use for His glory. I am the definition of a foolish thing that God has chosen to use. All that He requires from me is that I submit to Him, even when I don’t ...

Know your Position!

The story of Joseph is so awesome. This morning God dealt with me about character advancement. In order for Joseph to get to the high place that God was placing him in, he had to learn a few things. He had to learn love, loyalty, faith, relationship, vision, and forgiveness. Joseph learned love from his brothers. Even though Joseph was a favorite, he experienced hate in his own house hold. I can just imagine the mean things that he heard his brothers say about him or the way that he felt when he was left out of things they were doing. Joseph had to learn how to love the ones that were closet to him in order to love other people. When you can love a family member that has hurt you, you can love anybody. Joseph needed that love so that he wouldn’t grow bitter in the 13 years that God had in him Egypt. He also needed that love in order to effectively serve the people that God was sending him to. I also believe that he compassion for people that were in a bad situation. Now, Joseph was...

The Private, Matters

“And Zacharias said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.” And the angel answered and said to him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings. But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time.” ( Luke 1:1-20 NKJV).   Zacharias’ prayer was not answered in the way that he thought that it would be. During his prayer time with the Lord, he asked God to allow him and his wife to have a baby, but years passed, and they got older. Zacharias’ went on with his life until his season changed, and it was time. Time for what you may ask; it was time for the blessing of the Lord over this man and wife to come to pass. The issue was that Zacharias had allowed this prayer to leave his heart, and unbelief took its place. Wha...

Advanced From Slavery

There are times when people abandon you so that you can see that God never will. It may sound strange, but people hurt you so that you can be advanced. A bad situation, no matter how traumatic or painful it is, can do things for you that your loved ones never could if you just allow God to navigate you through the process. Pain is a unique opportunity for you to see 2 Corinthians 12:10 manifested in your life. It is one thing to hear about the scriptures, but it is totally different to have those scriptures come to life for your personally. Can you imagine loving God, but still becoming a slave? Joseph, Nehemiah, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego know that feeling all to well. These men loved God, but they had to go through some things to see that God loved them also, despite their situations. In today’s society, we may not be slaves that have to do what the people in the bible had to do, but we are still slaves in some way. God is having to sift through the love of money...
