Don’t Be The One To Sabotage Yourself On The Way To Destiny!

Destiny is a place that we all want to go right? We want to reach high heights without conquering or going through low lows and we tend to sabotage ourselves when we move out of position to quickly or not fast enough. When you decide to do what God has told you to do, you will be met with results that will blow your mind. It is not about getting everyone else’s opinion about what God has already spoken over you; you need to learn how to listen to the Holy Spirit and be content with His voice. There is nothing wrong seeking confirmation or spiritual guidance, but you need to know the difference between someone who agrees with you in the Lord and someone who is oppositional to voice of God in your life.
We all seek God and we all want more of Him, but we don’t want to go through what it may take to reach Him. Sometimes it takes all night prayer and pushing back your plate in order to get more of God. You may even need to leave that boyfriend/ girlfriend alone and stop talking to that family member that you love so much, just so you can hear the Lord clearly.
Disobedience can delay destiny and purpose in your life. Your comfort zone may get uncomfortable just so you can make a move in the direction that God has been telling you to go in all along. What if Abraham had decided to disobey God and what if he had chosen to feel as if the promises of God over his life were outside of the vision that he for himself? Where would he be and would he have ever been blessed with Isaac and the wealth that he accumulated? Whole nations have been blessed because of Abraham’s obedience to the instructions that God gave him. Your obedience may have the lives of others attached to it. You are the blessing that God wants to use to bless others. Stop dragging your feet and decide to look beyond yourself and look at God.

“For with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37 KJV).
God always has a big vision. Your job is to follow him so that it can be fulfilled through you. When Abram followed the Lord, he got a new name and more insight concerning the vision that God had for him. He acquired wealth, a family that God is still using, and he is called the father of faith.
How is it that you believe God, but you refuse to move? How is it that God is speaking to you, but yet you need to get everybody else’s opinion about what God told you to do. Wisdom is good to obtain from those that are wise and are connected to Christ whole heartedly, but foolish people will cause you to discount what you know you were told.
Don’t be the one to sabotage yourself on the way to destiny. Stop putting yourself down when God has already told you who you are to Him. King David was great even if other people did not see it.
Lord, I pray that Your people begin to see themselves in the way that You see them. I pray that they are confident in the vision that You have released to them and I pray that they walk in it, even if the journey takes them through a desert. I pray that You increase our faith like never before and I pray that we utilize the quiet seasons in our lives in order to hear You better. I pray that Your voice becomes loud and that we quiet any voice that comes against Yours. I pray that we release every plan and every worry into Your hands and I pray that You help us to trust You like never before. I pray over the visions that You have given your people and I pray against any distraction that comes against what You have already ordained. I pray against fear of the future and I pray that Your people begin to confidently walk in what You have already said about them. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

It Is Well: Faith Through Trigeminal Neuralgia

“ Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away.  Each time he said,  ‘ My grace is all you need .  My power works best in weakness ’ .  ‘ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong ’ ” (2 Corinthians 12:8-10). I can’t tell you how many times I spoke through tears. The tears where not because of emotions, but because of  the  searing  shocks caused by   Trigeminal Neuralgia.   Trigeminal Neuralgia  is a condition that causes intense pain, usually affecting one side of the face. It is a rare disorder that affects less than 1 percent of the population. I happen to be in that 1 percent.  The pain from this disorder feels like shocks that are auditioning for a  lightning  storm show. Th...

You are Not Lost in the Crowd. God Sees You!

Someone asked the question Why do we sing? When we lift our hands to Jesus What do we really mean ~Kirk Franklin “Why we sing?” It’s very very easy to get lost in the realm of religion or to get caught up in the hype of “church”. God has blessed so many of his people with gifts and talents that range from writing and composing, to worshiping, preaching and dancing. At my church, it seems like every one has some sort of gift and I must admit that I feel lost in the shuffle, but that brings me to point of asking myself questions such as ,“who am I going to church for?” and “whose attention am I aiming for?” Everyone wants to be noticed. We want to be praised and we want to be the favorite child, but at what cost? What are we paying to be number one in the congregation’s eyes? and do we even care if God is pleased with us right where we are? I’m the queen of being offended and I often compare myself, my progression in Christ, and my life to others. This should not be so and...

Take Up Your Cross

God paved the way for my present and my future with the prayers that He placed into my heart many years ago. I didn’t know what new challenges I would have to overcome or what would be required of me as I uttered the sentiments of my heart into His ears. All I knew was that I wanted to serve Him.   One my many heart’s desires was to not be a seat filler. I didn’t want to grow content with occupying a seat in the church and never getting out of it to go into all the world to do what God had ordained for me to do in the earth.    At that time I didn’t know who God had called me to be and I didn’t understand that some of my prayers was an indication of it.   Spoken from a transparent place, as life happened, the more God told me to get up the more I wanted to sit down. Tiredness and fear had gripped me on more occasions than I want to admit and I have had the audacity to whisper, “ get somebody else to do it”, on more than one occasion. I felt justified in what I...

Destroying Idols

“For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God” (Exodus 34:15 KJV). As I was up late watching videos of people talking about the personal lives of celebrities, I thought about the fact that it is crazy to worship those people. I thought about the fact that we actually worship flesh and I thought about the fact that we will all die someday. There have been extremely talented individuals that have passed away and their talent went with them. These individuals were considered to be iconic and they were worshiped because of it. Theses celebrities had gifts that were not known to be used for the One that gave it to them. These people had beautiful things and they had gatherings where people called out their names and raised their hands in worship to them, but what about God? Isn’t God the giver of the gifts and isn’t God the one who allows people to live lavishly? What about the worship that belongs to Him? Are we as humans so selfish, t...

Waiting for the Promise vs. Moving in Impatience

“Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child? ” And Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!” Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him”   ( Genesis 17: 17-19 NKJV). Isaac was desired, but Ismael was birthed out of impatience. If God told you that you were going to birth something beautiful, no matter what your season may look like, bank on the Lord’s promises. Your Ishmael does not have to be a man, your Ishmael can be an opportunity. Don’t walk into just any ole thing because you got tired of waiting on God. If God promised you something in 2016 and you didn’t see it in 2017, that does not mean that He forgot about what He promised you. Isaac had a set season and ...

Heart Inspection: Clean Your House

I remember growing up in a place that required inspections. I used to hate them because I knew that my mom and I would be up all night making sure that the house was clean. I understood that everything had to be just right before the apartment manager came in to make sure that things were how they needed to be, so I got to cleaning. I had two methods of cleaning depending on my mood. I had a lazy way of making everything appear spotless and I had a thorough way of cleaning that I learned from my father and grandmother. When I was in my lazy mood, I just stuffed everything into closets and under the bed because I knew that no one would look there. It produced great results and we passed the inspections. When I cleaned the way that I observed my father cleaning, I would make sure that everything was how it needed to be. I eventually began to dislike things under the bed and I got into the habit of cleaning out my closet. These results also produced great outcomes that I didn’t ha...

Walk on Water Faith

Becoming great takes faith. Peter did not become great in the twinkle of an eye. He had to go through things. This same man who stood up boldly to tell people about the Holy Spirit also once denied Jesus. We have to be so prayed up in Christ because we don’t always know what our flesh or our circumstances will cause us to do. The struggle to greatness gets real! David had to fight many battles not only in the world, but in the kingdom of God because he was called to greatness. David wrote many psalms documenting his trails and successes. He was a man after God’s own heart, but yet he was not perfect. We go through things that help sustain us in this life and we can’t remain discouraged by the hurts that the world throws at us. I admire the bravery of the apostles because I don’t know how well I would have done emotionally if whole systems were coming against me. These men were beat, lied on, and put in prison because of the Christ that they were representing. People will ...

Where is your Heart

God taught David how to fight. He fought a lot of personal battles before he was strong enough to fight the battles that we know him for today. David had to know how to depend on God in private before he could publicly show us how to depend on Him. David had to fight other people’s opinion of him even up until the moment that he was anointed to be king. Nobody looked at little David and saw a king. When they looked at him, they saw the youngest of 8 sons. They saw a shepard and they might have even seen a punk. I wonder if David’s brothers even knew that he was about that life. Did they know that he had fought and won a battle against a lion? Did they know that he took on a bear? Did they know that he was a prophetic musician and poet who was getting closer to God while they were busy looking the part of a position that they would never fill? The mistake that some people make is that they are more concerned with looking the part then they are with having the heart to fulfill t...

Stand Firm: Rooted and Grounded in God’s Word

It is easy to condemn Moses. How could he, out of all people be insecure? I mean, He talked to God in a burning bush that was not consumed by fire! God even protected him in a snake and alligator infested river! Wouldn’t you trust God if He continuously showed up on your behalf? Wouldn’t your war cry be Jehovah Nissi? God was always with Moses. Moses was never allowed to be a normal Hebrew baby because he was called out to be used for the glory of the Lord. He wasn’t allowed to be murdered. He wasn’t even allowed to be a slave. What has God shielded you from because of your calling? What had God allowed you to endure because of your calling? Do you realize that what you’re going through is because of your calling? No, Moses may not have endured what his brothers and sisters endured, but that does not mean that his life was peaches and cream. He may have been in the palace, but that does not mean that people treated him like a prince. If you look at the life of Moses, no one was...

“Who me” Moments! The Paul moment!

Have you ever had a “who me” moment? In Christ, “who me” moments happen every day. It’s exciting and it’s shocking at the same time because you are getting to know someone that already knows everything about you. God is observant. He knows the number of hair that is on our head and he knows every situation that we will ever go through before it even happens. Before I allowed God to come into my heart, I thought I had myself figured out. I knew that I was quiet and I knew that I was observant, not liked, rejected ect. As you see all the things that I knew about myself were not positive, but God came in and changed that. God showed me who I was to him. This is very important in the life of a broken vessel because God will send people into your life to encourage you; he will come into your bedroom late at night and whisper sweet things into your ear. I cannot tell you the number of times that God has held the tissue box as I cried out to him about some matter. I cried out to hi...
