“We
heard him say, 'I will destroy this temple made with human hands and in three
days will build another, not made with hands” (Mark
14:58).
I hate the process of being built. It hurts. A LOT! Life
and people beat on you and you can feel your self falling apart, but then you
hear the sound of the contractors and the bricks being laid on top of one another
to make you so much stronger than you were before. The beautiful thing about
being built is that you have already been torn down. Many of the toxins have
been washed away. Some of the pride is gone and God is the one directing and constructing
the whole process.
I said that I hate the process of being built, but I
never said that you won’t find beauty in it. God will send people by your construction
site to compliment the progress that HE is making. Ya see, you have to know
that it is HIS progress. I have to stand on the fact that “he who began a good work in me will carry it on to completion until
the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6). There are many days that I want
to tear this house down that God is building, but he says NO. Accept when God
tells you NO. The NO is meant to protect you. The NO is to protect his
investment in you. The NO is to hold your destiny in place.
Lord I thank-You for the NOs and the NOT YETs. So many
of us think that we are ready to be released, but we are not. Keep in mind that
even Jesus had to wait. God has told you all these great things and you want to
run ahead, but NO. WAIT on the one that is building you and making you strong
enough to endure the storms that will come.
“But
they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their
strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be
weary; and they shall walk, and
not faint” (Isaiah 40:31 ).Stop comparing yourself and your progress to other people.
"Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46: 10).
