The Anointing of God Destroys the Yoke

“The anointing of God destroys the yoke.”

(Isaiah 10:27)

A yoke is a life center, much like a nucleus. It holds the nutrients of what something needs to survive. A yoke can be a choke-hold that weighs a person down like a slave who is forced to work against anything that will set them free. It can be viewed as a symbol of oppression, forced submission, and defeat.

The anointing of God is His supernatural power working through you by way of the Holy Spirit to do the seemingly impossible. The anointing is like a signet of God’s presence being with you. You need the anointing of God to complete the tasks that He has divinely assigned to you as His child. With God’s anointing, you will go places and people will be made free from the bondages/ struggles that have plagued them and their family through many lineages because the chains will be loosed through the undeniable power of God.

If I can be honest, some people fight their anointing because of fear. They don’t want it because of the responsibility that they will have to protect it from being tainted by their own actions or by people who will try to pervert it because the anointed individual does not know who they are in God.

The devil seeks to either misuse the anointing of God, to destroy it, or to keep a person from effectively operating in it. This process can look different for everyone so it’s important that you know what you are anointed by God to do and how the devil fights you in your life.

“For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man.

The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood].

Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.

We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete.”

 (2 Corinthians 10:3-6)

When it comes to your life and the call on your life, the devil does not fight fair.  1 Peter 5:8 tell us to “stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”

He will enter your life in any way that he can with the purpose of wreaking havoc. He can do this through traumatic experiences (especially the ones that were caused in your childhood), through music, movies, books, friendships/relationships (soul ties), family traditions ect.

The devil expects for you to not know who you are even if he does. He understands that as soon as you know who God says you are that you will destroy his kingdom, every block that he has set up against your lineage, and every plot that he has schemed against those who you are called to.

In the words of Bishop David Aaron Richey, “  If you don’t know who you are, or the world will tell you who you are not.” People spend their entire lives fighting the lies that the devil has attempted to magnify as a reality to keep them mute, hidden, and defeated.

“Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against

 all strategies of the devil.”

 (Ephesians 6:11 NLT)

You need to know the scriptures listed above and many more because this is how you combat the trials that you encounter because of your anointing. You fight with the word of God. The anointing that God has called you to have will set nations free in Jesus name. This anointing destroys the fortresses of yolks that have prevented people from being all that they have been called to be. You are not exempt from this. The anointing of Jesus Christ has already destroyed the yolk of what the enemy has planned against you.

Be free in Jesus, accept your call, and go forth. You have yolks to break!

I pray for your mindset. Lord, help your people to know how to think properly about you, their experiences, their anointing and their purpose. I pray that you will increase their wisdom and that they will hunger and thirst after you so that you can fill them. Lord, intervene in their lives and teach them the weapons that you have given them to war against everything that wars against them. If the person reading this does not know who they are in you, their purpose, or the areas that they are anointed in, I pray that you will reveal it to them. Lord, help your people to accept the call on their lives and to not be afraid because you are with them. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us that you have not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Help your people to have this sound mind. In Jesus name, Amen.

Take Up Your Cross

God paved the way for my present and my future with the prayers that He placed into my heart many years ago. I didn’t know what new challenges I would have to overcome or what would be required of me as I uttered the sentiments of my heart into His ears. All I knew was that I wanted to serve Him.   One my many heart’s desires was to not be a seat filler. I didn’t want to grow content with occupying a seat in the church and never getting out of it to go into all the world to do what God had ordained for me to do in the earth.    At that time I didn’t know who God had called me to be and I didn’t understand that some of my prayers was an indication of it.   Spoken from a transparent place, as life happened, the more God told me to get up the more I wanted to sit down. Tiredness and fear had gripped me on more occasions than I want to admit and I have had the audacity to whisper, “ get somebody else to do it”, on more than one occasion. I felt justified in what I...

Take Off the Old Rags and Put on the New Garment

Have you ever had a childhood item that you loved? That thing may be worn, dirty, and falling apart, but you hold on to it because of sentimental value such as the memories attached to it . That item could be anything. It could be cloths, a toy, or even a picture. In many of our lives the old sentimental thing that we hold on to is our sin. We attach unhealthy sentimental values it. Many of these sins originated in our childhood so we hold on to it and in most cases, hope that no one ever sees it. Not every sin is private, some people are wide open with their sins because it is socially acceptable to take part in such things, or they have stooped caring what other people think it. Like those childhood items, we may tuck our sins away and bring them out in secret. In some cases, we even form unions with people who are holding on to the same item (sin) that we are holding on to. The items (sins/ demons) have been with us so long, we don’t know how to function without it. Today, Go...

Be A Big Mouth!

“ Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?”(John 4:29 KJV). I don’t know the name of the Samaritan woman that the Lord meant at the well, but she is one of my favorite people in the Bible. I also don’t know what happened to her after her encounter with Jesus, but I do believe that she went home that day and told the man that she was with to leave because someone else had stolen her heart. Many times we judge people by their behavior instead of really taking a look at why they act the way that they do. The Samaritan woman must have heard some really awful things about herself to go to the well at a time when she knew that no one else would be there. Perhaps she didn’t want to be bothered with people and their options or perhaps she wanted to use that time to be alone. This woman was known, but perhaps she suffered from the shame of only wanting to fill a void in her heart. We don’t know how the woman at the well grew up or how she felt emotional...

The Demand of Purpose: Having a Good Attitude Along the Way

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:6-7 KJV).        Sometimes what inconveniences you is purpose calling. David came  home from his job (training) to  check on the sheep that he loved (he loved what others considered to be insignificant). His father told him to  take some things to his brothers who were on the battlefield. Most of us would have wanted to argue that we need rest, but purpose  had placed a demand on David and he went.      David had training in everything that God planned for him. He was trained as a Shepard to seek God and to be brave. He didn’t go around telling people that he could fight wild animals. Some of you don’t go telling people about the demons that you have slayed through  the Hold Ghost in private.      David saw what Saul didn’t. David saw how a  kingd...

You are Not Lost in the Crowd. God Sees You!

Someone asked the question Why do we sing? When we lift our hands to Jesus What do we really mean ~Kirk Franklin “Why we sing?” It’s very very easy to get lost in the realm of religion or to get caught up in the hype of “church”. God has blessed so many of his people with gifts and talents that range from writing and composing, to worshiping, preaching and dancing. At my church, it seems like every one has some sort of gift and I must admit that I feel lost in the shuffle, but that brings me to point of asking myself questions such as ,“who am I going to church for?” and “whose attention am I aiming for?” Everyone wants to be noticed. We want to be praised and we want to be the favorite child, but at what cost? What are we paying to be number one in the congregation’s eyes? and do we even care if God is pleased with us right where we are? I’m the queen of being offended and I often compare myself, my progression in Christ, and my life to others. This should not be so and...

I have Chosen You: Distractions and Distress are not Your Portion

“You did not choose me, but I choose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, He may give it to you.”                                                        (John 15:16 ESV).    At the church that I attend, the stage/ alter has   steps that one can  ascend  on to reach the top. As I looked at the steps, I envisioned what God is doing in this season. I saw a representative on the floor before the steps began ,  and I saw them moving up one step at a time. We are in a season of elevation and with elevation comes great responsibility.  As I consider the prayers that I have prayed and the questions that I have asked  God , I see the answers all around me, but inwardly I have rejected the responsibility that comes ...

Kairos:God’s Opportune Time Table

There are moments and seasons that are not defined by man or their opinions. In those moments “their” opinions don’t matter, your background does not matter, and your last name does not matter. Those moments are the ones that define your destiny and triumph over your past. Those seasons are the ones that you are born to walk in and nothing can steal them away from you. That moment and that season is specified as being your kairos moment. Your life, your destiny, your ministry, and your purpose are all in your kairos moment. Everything that you are and ever will be, boils down to that moment. Your kairos moment cannot be defined, manipulated, or determined by man because it is a moment that is determined by God alone.   King David was the underdog. He was the youngest and most different when compared to his brothers. Even the prophet Samuel could not identify God’s chosen vessel in the flesh because God had to reveal to him who the next king would be. Being alone and being the u...

Answer the Call

Do not allow another hour, minute or second go by that you have not allowed God to come into your heart and change your life. It is time out for the fake stuff yall! Ya, you go to church, but you also know that your heart isn’t right. A right heart yields to God and abhors evil. A right heart says Lord have your way with me. A right heart knows that having a church home, merly going to church, and paying tithes is not enough to get you into heaven. Everybody wants the real, I’m gone give it to. If you died today and have not accepted Jesus as your lord and savior, you are not going to heaven. Do not fool your selves by believing that everybody that you know that has died went to heaven. you know what it means to live right. Kick that negro out, put the weed down, no more pre-marital sex, stop cursing and getting drunk! God loves you so much that he gave his only begotten son for you! Why don’t you give your life to him? Grandmamma and momma can pray for you, but you are the one tha...

Does your Heart have a Attitude ?

This morning, I thought about people who have left the ministry. I understand that everyone has a different reason for making this choice and my intention is to examine 2 of those reasons. Some people leave ministry because of offense and other people leave because the “burden is too heavy”. “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls”    (Matthew 29:11). The first issue that should be addressed is the heart. Your heart should always be Godward. People and their expectations are heavy. I can imagine, that ministry can be heavy, but Jesus says, “ take my yoke upon you ”. The ministry belongs to Jesus, not you. Where is your heart? I know that you’re tired. I know that people can be a mess, but always lean on Christ and you will find rest in depending on Him.  Church has become a place of tradition. Many of us attend because we “have” to, not so much because we want to. We have jobs to do a...

DON'T LEAVE JUST YET !

Do you know that some of us will leave God before we will leave a mate that lies to and cheats on us? Trust me, I‘ve been down that road and I’ve thought about going down it again, but I’m here to say to you don’t leave just yet. We give man so many chances to get it right, but we rarely allow God to shower us with the fullness of who he is. Your pain is for a season. In life we go through droughts, but God will never allow you to go dry and thirsty in the desert storms of life. Hang on to God’s every word in this season. We need to date God and treat him like the people we fall in love with. God wants that time with us and if you give it a chance, it will be so sweet. I pray that we see this sweet side of Christ. I pray that we stay up at night just to talk to him and ask him what he is doing. Wouldn’t it be awesome to blow kissy faces at God and tell him how much we love him and receive his love in return? I pray that we receive the love of the father. We know he loves us, but do...
