Preparation in Waiting

One thing that I have learned about God over the years is that his plan for my life is so much greater than my own. I have also learned that his vision can be more than I can bear at times because I have a tendency to try to make the parts that he has revealed to me come to pass on my own. I ask God why and when, but the truth is that I am not ready. My faith has to grow and I’m still being prepped. It’s easy to feel like a failure when you’re trying to meet the expectation of others. I come from a family of all stars. I was expected to go to college. I expected myself to have what they have and to live how they live, but God…… God is expecting something different from me. He is expecting me to do and to move how he tells me to. This is hard…I have people expecting success from me. God is expecting success from me to. He is expecting me to listen and to wait. Waiting is hard. Jesus waited. At 12 Jesus was wise, but he had to wait. People expected things from Him also. They expected Him to be the carpenter’s son. God expected Him to be His son the Messiah. What do you want more? To meet the expectation of people or to be what and who ever God has called you to be? A destiny fulfilled requires waiting. Jesus had to wait until He was 30. It’s easy to feel the pressure of seeing others around you succeed while you’re in waiting. Jesus was called to ministry, He had the gift, but He had to wait for the appointed time and people to fulfill the assignment. At 12, Jesus might not have been fully equipped to hang on a cross, his young body could not handle the pressure of that aspect of the call. Are you really ready to take on the fullness of the vision?

I pray that we are patient with the process of God. I pray that we begin to enjoy where we are on the way to where we are going. There are lessons on this journey that we cannot afford to miss. Lord I pray for guidance and over flowing grace as we listen to and for YOUR voice and move when YOU tell us to move. Lord I pray that we learn to get out of your way so that your glory can be shown in its fullness, In Jesus name <3

What are we paying to be number one in the congregation’s eyes? and do we even care if God is pleased with us right where we are? Gut Check of the Heart

“But [like a boxer] I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached [the gospel] to others, I myself will not somehow be disqualified [as unfit for service]” (1 Corinthians 9:27 AMP). If you need to be told that you did a good job, “You did a good job. You gave, and you submitted to man. You showed up and did what they asked. Good job.” “But I have this [charge] against you, that you have left your first love [you have lost the depth of love that you first had for Me]” (Revelation 2:4 AMP). “Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet.” (Luke 15:22 ESV) I have carried myself around as someone who had no divine ownership. I’ve acted like a peasant and not a family member of God, accepting scraps because I thought that was my worth, when all along God has placed a robe of grace and love over my shoulders that I was blind to until now. The love of God is like the love that the prodigal son’s father had for him. This father allowed his son to make choices that he knew were harmful because his son had the free will to do so. It was not that the son didn’t know better, he just lacked the maturity to know that that he belonged to a father that loved him. This goes beyond wealth; this is a family’s name that the son wanted to take off for a season in order to identify with a world that was never for his good in the first place. “Put a ring on his hand.” (Luke 22 ESV) The ring placed...

Give your self-permission to receive and walk in the grace that God gives you. King David had to allow himself to receive grace. He was not perfect, but he knew how to remorsefully repent and he knew how to position himself at the feet of the King. David messed up while walking in his purpose. He tried to hide his sin, but God saw it and confronted him on it. We have to know how to receive God when He confronts us with the good, the bad, and the ugly. We can choose to continue to sin or we can choose to submit to our Father and repent. God does not expect for us to be perfect, but He does expect for us to be submitted. Saul lost his position with God before he lost his position with man. He cared about what people thought more than he cared about what God thought. “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. Everyone was on their way, but partial action was taken by five of the virgins. The bridegroom had the capacity to care for all ten. Matters of the Heart

Sometimes we need for God to check us. We need for him to put us in our place and to remind us of what we have been asking him about. My desire, starting now, is to dedicate my attitude and my job to him. I do not want for my job to just be a place where I can make an income, I want for it to be a ministry. Now, there is one major thing that stands in the way of my desire and that is my attitude. I have to change my way of thinking to see the way that God sees. It is very easy to become like your co-workers if you do not watch yourself. During the orientation at the place of my employment, the instructor advised my class to leave our hearts in the car. During the first couple of days that was hard for me to do, but after being there a while, I found myself leaving my feelings at the door on many occasions. Shame on me! How do I show Christ when I leave him in my car? Today as I was doing my hair, God reminded me that I was praying for the population that I now work ...

But Your Empty!!!!!!

You give me your tithes and offering but your heart is far from me. You go to church to show your face but your heart is far from me. You do all these things but where is your heart? God desires pure worship and NOT watered down praise (Isaiah 1:18-20) Last night as I was reading the book of Isaiah, the above words are what I received when I got to verses 18-20. The Process of Faithing It: Trusting Jesus with Your Faith

“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34 NKJV). Can you imagine Jesus in a crowd? Everyone has a need, but His target in that moment is to go and build the faith of a little girl’s family at the request of her father because they think that she will die. The father is scared, but Jesus was on the way until He felt something. This feeling was different, but powerful. Jesus turns around looking, asking questions, but finds his answer in the form of a woman, standing and looking amazed at what just happened to her. After 13 years of anemia, tiredness, dizzy spells, soiled clothing, and impacted relationships, she is healed. This woman with an issue of blood had spent all of her money, but decided to trust Jesus with her faith, which was all that she had left. Jesus was not too busy to stop and ask, “Who touched me?”.
